Why does this feature exist?

For minijobs and for the hospitality industry, the German Minimum Wage Act (MiLoG) requires the start, end and duration of working time to be recorded – within seven days at the latest. Slips of paper at the till get lost, and times added at the end of the month are rarely correct. With Lumigast, your team checks in and out on a phone or a tablet, and the times are correct in the system straight away.

What does it do for you?

  • Helps you with the recording obligation under the Minimum Wage Act (MiLoG): start, end and duration of every shift
  • Staff are asked about breaks when they check out; nothing is deducted at a flat rate
  • No more paper slips: on staff’s own phones or on a tablet with PIN – also for everyone without a smartphone
  • Check in with a card: hold the card to the reader on the tablet or via NFC to an Android tablet, enter the PIN – only a check value is stored, not the card number. Management registers, blocks or deletes cards (in testing)
  • Corrections only with a reason; the old and new values remain visible
  • Attendance at a glance and a warning if times are still missing after seven days

How it works

  1. At the start of the shift, tap “Check in” – on the phone or on the tablet with PIN.

  2. Check out when leaving and confirm the break.

  3. The times go into the month-end closing; corrections only with a reason.
