Basics

Roles and permissions

Each person sees only what they need for their work. This keeps the app simple and protects wages, personnel files and the till.

Why does this feature exist?

Casual waiting staff do not need a payroll list, the kitchen does not need the end-of-day closing, and the shift lead should handle staffing and checklists but not change contracts. If everyone sees everything, an app becomes cluttered and confidential data is exposed. In Lumigast, each role has its own permissions and its own short start page.

What does it do for you?

  • Seven roles to start with – owner, shift lead, team, waiting staff, bar counter, kitchen, payroll office – adjustable at any time
  • Wages, personnel files and the till are protected: voids, discounts and end-of-day closing only with the right permission
  • Simple mode: waiting staff start at the tables, the kitchen at the kitchen display
  • Further management accounts only with confirmation; every change is logged

How it works

  1. Choose the role for each person in the personnel file.

  2. Adjust the permissions per role if needed.

  3. Each person sees only their own pages – with their own start page.

Who is it for?

For every business with more than one person in management or with shift leads.
