Rota suggestion and works council

One tap gives you a suggestion for the whole week – based on staffing needs, availability, contracts and the Working Hours Act. Every assignment comes with a reason; you decide.

Why does this feature exist?

If you spread twenty people across two areas and fourteen time slots, you juggle wishes, contracted hours, rest periods and weekends every week. Much of this is pure calculation. Lumigast does this calculation for you and makes a suggestion that you check. If your business has a works council, its approval also runs in the app.

What does it do for you?

  • A finished weekly suggestion in seconds instead of puzzling over it in the evening
  • Every assignment comes with a reason; gaps stay red and state the reason
  • Fairly shared: weekends and late shifts in turn, with contracted hours in view
  • Fixed rules instead of AI: the same information gives the same suggestion
  • With a works council: submission, approval and minutes as a PDF – the rota is only published after approval

How it works

  1. In the weekly rota, tap “Suggestion”.

  2. Check the reasons, deselect or change individual shifts.

  3. Accept – per shift, per day or everything after a review screen.

Who is it for?

For businesses with many part-time staff, minijobbers and apprentices, where sharing out shifts takes time every week – and for businesses with a works council.
